Yael and Karylle Finally Tied the Knot

Best wishes!!!

It was an afternoon wedding for Yael and Karylle, last March 21, 2014, at the St. Anthony of Padua Parish Church in Silang Cavite. Reception followed at Angel Fields Nature Sanctuary in Tagaytay. Being a big fan, I was also checking on the Instagram posts of her mom, ZsaZsa Padilla, Paolo Valenciano's, Kris Aquino's and one of her besties, Iza Calzado's. I immediately posted on my FB wall one of the first photos of the newlywed. It was like, having been part of it that way (hahah!). Well, I was just so happy for this milestone of their relationship.

These photos of this love-filled event are from the web (thank you), because I just couldn't get enough and opted on posting it.

Days after their wedding, Sponge Cola came out with their latest single, Dahil Kilala na Kita, from their album, Singapore Sling,  featuring the video of their wedding. Here's the music video for you to watch:

I guess, I was one of the firsts who watched it, but, I still wish that the whole wedding video will be shown on the Kapamilya channel soon. To the newlyweds, Yael and Karylle Yuson, congratulations and keep that love, love, love!

Karylle's Engagement to Yael

An emotional, Karylle, was happy to announce on Showtime her engagement to her boyfriend of 3-years, Sponge Cola frontman, Yael Yuson. For a couple who was able to successfully keep a sort of private relationship to the media, this was a bit of a surprise to me, but, when I finally knew that they've been together for quite sometime already, I immediately felt happy for my idol, Karylle. They're already of age, anyway. I always look forward to watching her on Showtime, because I don't want to miss the wedding coverage. I will make myself updated through the social media.

Congratulations, K!

Oscar Fashion Fever

One of the perks of being a work-at-home-mom (WAHM) is that, I get to watch the TV shows that I want, which I consider my Me-time. Well, that becomes really possible when my daughter is in school, that's why.

I was so glad to have been able to watch the recently concluded Oscar Academy Awards from start to finish though I’d change the dial during commercial breaks (sometimes). I loved the host, Seth MacFarlane – he is such a genius. The performers were really good - bravo! Of course, the fashion that I always look forward to has been so fascinating, as always. A lot of them looked like goddesses with their dresses/gowns, but I would only name my top three best dressed among women, and they are:

Jennifer Lawrence
a gown made for the best actress - Congratulations!

Charlize Theron
She was just so stunning with her short do and a beautiful gown.

Nora Jones
I just loved this simple yet elegant dress she wore during her performance

If I would be asked who my male star of the night was, it would be, Daniel Day-Lewis, the best actor. I’m a fan yes, but, he was just so handsome. He just looks even more handsome as he age.
Daniel Day-Lewis

Congratulations to all the winners, and a round of applause to the academy for putting up a good show that the whole world enjoyed.

The Zoren-Carmina Wedding

If you were unable to watch the wedding via ABS-CBN last Sunday night, you’re not alone. I was also unable to. Well, no matter how good of a show is gonna be aired, mommy duties come first for me all the time. Rem wouldn’t sleep without me beside her, and I need to save up energy for the next day since it’s a Monday. Anyways, I don’t feel so bad about it because that was the very 1st thing (watching TV regularly) I gave up since I got pregnant.

I just browsed the internet and see what I could read or watch about the wedding coverage. Thanks to the technology these days. It makes me not miss a thing. Just late but never a “nothing at all”. It really was a wedding every woman would want to experience. Congratulations to the both of them! May their love continue to blossom as its reward is really incomparable. I just remembered telling my husband the other week as we are on our eight year of marriage already, “it’s such a blessing to feel that as our marriage grow old, our love is just growing deeper, too. Ideally, I guess that should be the case. For me, it’s really where the song “grow old with you” hits. I always look up to men (now including Zoren) who give much importance to their wives, and even give credit to all that is due to us, wives. It really is about giving importance to the one we love, and it should work both ways. Obviously, to the newly-weds, that’s what their marriage looks like. Their wedding was not only fancy, that made it so nice, but, it’s the love for each other that was really felt by everyone. For me, that kind of love is possible for all and that’s where we should be excited about.

To the Legaspi couple, Zoren and Carmina, thank you for the inspiration and for the “kilig moments” that you shared to many. May your Love continue to inspire all married couples and those that are still dreaming of it.

Zac Efron: Loved (more) by Filipino Fans

When I learned about his being in Manila, I would always watch news for updates about his stay. But there were cases where I had to be out of the house to do some errands. By the way, thanks so much to Penshoppe for bringing him to our beloved country, Philippines.

I’ve been a Zac Efron fan since he starred in the High School Musical movie with Fil-Am actress, Vanessa Hudgens who happened to be his girlfriend then. Said movie started it for them to be lovers.  With his recent visit, for sure more Filipino fans were born. I just love him more for everything that he sincerely said about the people and our place. I was able to watch him at the Ellen Show and I almost cried (tears of joy, of course) when he talked about a bit about his visit here. With everything that he had said about his short visit in all his interviews, I’d like to give credit to everyone whom he met. Thanks for showing the hospitality that we Filipinos are famous for.

For those who want to follow him via Twitter and  Facebook Page

I’d like to end this post by saying Thank You to Zac Efron. It's been an honor having you in our country. More power to you and God bless you more and more. Filipinos (especially Pinays – women) love you more, that’s for sure!

Wishing the Duchess of Cambridge Well

You’ve probably heard or watched the news about the published topless photos of the Duchess Catherine of Cambridge also known as Kate Middleton. Of course, I wasn’t surprised if the victim and everyone in the palace got so upset about the publication of  those photos. It’s really sad at how people could be so insensitive just to gain profit.

For anyone who’s in the position of the duchess, no matter how good of a body you’ve got will never feel good about having experienced an invasion of privacy this way. But with all these, I salute to the couple (Duke and the Duchess) for keeping themselves composed despite this gross controversy thrown to them. There is surely a hard lesson learned so as not to experience again the terror the former Princess Diana  and her family experienced while trying to run away from the paparazzi. They just got to be extra-careful this time. For now, I’m wishing the Duchess, the Duke and everyone in the palace well. These too, shall pass.

I'm Happy for JL!

We all know the perks of being famous, but, of course it also has its downside. Being one of the million fans of John Lloyd (Cruz), I’ve always been excited to know about his lovelife, just like any fan. The last one with Shaina (Magdayao) seemed so bumpy, but having it lasted a bit made me really think then that it was going to work out.

Now, he’s been linked to the ever beautiful, Angelica Panganiban, where the latter’s 6-year relationship with actor Derek (Ramsay) just ended also, which I also thought would end into marriage. But, I hope my guess this time will come true. Well, I just feel that it’s going to have a real happy ending for JL and Angel. Why? For these two who came from serious relationships, I just consider it as if they’ve been ripened for each other - learned from those past to be better persons in love and in life. And not only that, being such natural comedians even in real life, this is just the perfect ingredient a married life could be a success, especially in their lifestyle and career. I really hope they’ll end up together. I may not be invited in their wedding (not bitter), but then again, as a fan, I also hope good things (especially in lovelife) for my idols. Whoever he ends up with will be an instant idol for me, of course.  Choose to be happy, guys, and everything else will follow.

I am a Proud Karylle Fan

I’ve always liked Karylle, even during her GMA days while I’ve always been a Kapamilya (ABS-CBN) supporter. Not only because we have a bit of resemblance according to few friends (ahem:), but of how she really is. For me, she’s got the looks, talents and the intelligence. I just love how simple she is, and how she could be candid during interviews.

Yesterday, I was checking on my newly registered Twitter account for this blog (FabFashionCraze) and was looking for her Twitter page, so I can follow her. Among the tweets were about her Best Actress nomination for her role in Kitchen Musical. Wow, the fruits of her labor are slowly coming out. I can’t help but be happy and proud of this achievement, and be in awe of her gown. With the gown alone, it looks like she’s already won.

Congratulations, Anna Karylle and more power! You deserve what you’ve got and will still be reaping.

Congratulations, Miley!

Love is definitely in the air for this lovebirds - Miley (Cyrus) and Liam (Hemsworth). Just last month, my daughter and I watched (again) Hanna Montana on TV, and now she’s already engaged. At 19, it sounds young for me, as compared to myself when I was that age (hahah), but, on the other hand, it’s also nice of her to have found the man of her dreams at 19.

As a fan, of course, I only hope and pray for the best for the both of them. It’s never a perfect way ahead, but it’s always a choice to stay happily in love. Again, congratulations, Miley and Liam! I’m sure all your fans, especially, the ones from the Philippines (like me) are all happy about the news.
